Even ordinary people can get caught up in allegations of serious fraud.
We are members of the Law Society’s Specialist Fraud Panel. Only firms with the necessary experience of and expertise in Serious Fraud cases can be admitted to this elite panel of lawyers. For some serious fraud cases public funding towards the cost of a client’s legal representation is available but only where the solicitor instructed is a panel member. Beware and ensure that your solicitors firm is a member. If they are not, you will not be able to claim public funding and will probably have to pay substantial legal fees.
We are the first and only panel members in Shropshire, Hereford or Mid Wales but we can deal with cases throughout the country and have a network of specialist counsel, forensic accountants and expert witnesses on whose services we can call. Our team is lead by John McMillan who has over 30 years experience of the Criminal Law and is our Specialist Fraud Panel Supervisor.
We regularly act for Directors, partners, sole traders as well as employees caught up in large-scale fraud. It is important to obtain advice at an early stage of the investigation and we spend hundreds of hours each year assisting clients who have to attend for investigative interviews.
We have specialist software to allow us to collate and analyse the large amounts of information these cases generate.
