Our specialist solicitors are accredited members of the Law Society’s Criminal Litigation Panel. We are a member of the Specialist Fraud Panel, having met the stringent entry requirements of expertise and experience to deal with major serious fraud cases. The head of our Defence Department is consultant John McMillan who is a Criminal Higher Courts Advocate and someone who has spent almost every day in Court defending clients for over 30 years. Over that period he has dealt with tens of thousands of cases of all complexities – dozens of murders, scores of rapes and armed robberies, serious assault cases, international drug smuggling, conspiracies and serious fraud.
Our defence team includes in-house Higher Courts Advocates and Accredited Police Station Advisers and support staff all of whom are highly trained and motivated to help you.
Our Crown Court Section supervised by Solicitor-Advocate Heath Westerman daily deals with trials and mitigation in Crown Courts around the country and our Magistrates Court Section supervised by solicitor Miranda Heal is fully engaged defending clients in trials and pleas throughout the region.
We have a network of enquiry agents, expert witnesses and specialist barristers we can call on to ensure that your case is properly prepared.
